“Delicate Beasts” Goes South for the Winter

The latest collaboration between Ingrid Restemayer and Christy Puetz, "Delicate Beasts" opens in Phoenix, AZ on Friday, January 16, 2015.
Christy Puetz and Ingrid Restemayer studied Fiberarts together at the University of North Dakota in the 1990’s. They have a history of over 20 years collaborating & exhibiting together. Dedicated to the use of methods and materials traditionally associated with craft, they explore the boundaries and reconceive how craft materials are seen in the fine art world.
The last time these two exhibited together at Modified Art was in 2011 with “Shapeshifters.” The Phoenix New Times’ Kathleen Vanesian had this to say about that coupling of the works of Puetz and Restemayer: “Modified's exhibition, well balanced and thematically seductive, is a great example of how artists can work collaboratively, while maintaining their distinct aesthetic identities, to produce a cohesive result.” (full article here: )
