First Thursday, May 7th = Art-A-Whirl Preview!

Ingrid Restemayer Studio will be open for its regular hours, 5-9pm this Thursday, May 7th. This particular “First Thursday” however, is a little extra special as it will be a preview of work to be shown at this year’s Art-A-Whirl.
Featured guest artist, Dan Buettner has already installed his irresistible ‘object’ paintings in studio. These works of incredible drawing and painting skill feature everything from orange slices to turtles to toy robots. Paired with Dan’s work are my own found object pieces. Here you’ll find drink umbrellas, keys and board game pieces assembled into stitched settings.
The rest of the studio is filled with my new mixed media print/fiber work as well as Dan’s latest small study collages.
First Thursday is a great time to get an up close and personal preview of the art before the masses descend for the BIG open studio tour later this month.
